Welcome to The Church of the Holy Spirit!

The love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us (Romans 5:5)

Welcome to the Church of the Holy Spirit in Stamford, Connecticut.  Our hope and prayer is that you use this website as families and individuals for the purposes of information, evangelization, catechesis, and holiness  - that Christ be formed in all of us to the fullness of charity.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created. And You shall renew the face of the earth.

O, God, who by the light of the Holy Spirit, did instruct the hearts of the faithful, grant that by the same Holy Spirit we may be truly wise and ever enjoy His consolations, Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Second Collection This Weekend - September 27 & 28

All churches in our diocese have been asked to hold a special collection to benefit our Christian brothers and sisters facing extraordinary hardships in the Middle East. Please be as generous as you can. Checks should be made payable to Holy Spirit Church with "Middle East" written on the memo line.

Holy Spirit Family Life Ministry
Blessing of Pets, Pajama Program for Children,

and Ice-Cream Social - Sunday, October 5 at 4PM

St. Francis blessing animals Come, be a part of this important ministry to young families in our parish in a three-part celebration of St. Francis of Assisi of Prayer, Charity, and Community.

St. Francis had a great love for all of God’s creatures. Bring your pet to be blessed. If you don’t have a pet, come celebrate with those who do.

Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air and animals on the land. You inspired St. Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless this pet. By the power of your love, enable it to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation.  Amen.

St. Francis loved to serve the poor. Bring new, warm, pajamas, or a book to children in need. Too many children go to bed without the love of mother or father to tuck them in or read them a bedtime story. You can help. Click here for more info.

St. Francis loved to be with his Community. After the blessing of your pet, and helping children in the Pajama Program, enjoy being together for a pleasant ice-cream social.
