GRADES 1-4 FAMILY FORMATION

The home and the parish work closely together to foster deep learning as families desire to follow Jesus more closely. Families are introduced to the spiritual treasures of the home, the domestic church. Parents can learn and share with their children practices such as grace before meals, reading and praying with Scripture, and learning about the lives of the saints.

Parents are nourished and encouraged through the bi-monthly parent gatherings, and weekly email newsletter. Children gather twice a month for lesson in peer groups taught by a Catechist and complete online modules provided by My Catholic Faith Delivered.

Family Home Enrichment

  • Enable parents to be the primary witnesses & evangelizers to their children in the Catholic Faith.
  • Include easy-to-use prayers, games, and other fun and/or spiritual activities.
  • Show how to live as families as Christ desires us to live so that all members of the family will enjoy the peace and joy of a Christ entered life.

GRADE 2 & COMMUNION

The children learn that Jesus is always with us and that He calls us to conversion through the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) and Penance. The children then learn how Jesus gives himself to us through the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. In the Sacred Communion we live the experience of our catholic faith.

Our objective is that the children understand Jesus’ love for each of us through the sacraments so they are fully prepared to receive them. We also strive to continue to strengthen our Christ-centered parish community through other family-centered programs.

More Information about First Holy Communion

When do children and teens who attend Catholic school start sacramental preparation?

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR YOU AND US THAT YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILDREN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

For all Sacraments, you will want to refer to our full Calendar or the Sacrament Year only Calendars for details about all events, meetings and classes.

For our purchasing and planning purposes we need to know as early as possible how many children/teens will be receiving sacraments this year.
