With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Pope Francis, whose wisdom and compassion touched countless lives.
In his final Easter Sunday homily, he left us with a message of hope, saying:
"Brothers and sisters, this is the greatest hope of our life: we can live this poor, fragile and wounded existence clinging to Christ, because he has conquered death, he conquers the darkness and will conquer the shadows of this world,
to make us live with him in joy, forever."
He further proclaimed:
"He is alive and is with us always, shedding the tears of those who suffer and adding to the beauty of life through the small acts of love carried out by each of us."
As we grieve, we hold fast to these words, finding solace in Christ's eternal victory and the enduring legacy of love Pope Francis inspired. May he rest in peace.
