God's Surprising Remedy to Our Sins

A Lenten Reflection by Sister Gaudia Skass

March 12, 2018

"In a world where we've learned that we have to be perfect it seems impossible that our misery can attract God. If this is true should we not stop pretending how perfect we are and boldly show Him our wounds? His reaction can be very surprising."

~Sr. Gaudia Skass

God's Surprising Remedy to Our Sins

A Lenten Reflection by Sister Gaudia Skass

March 12, 2018

The video will end abruptly about ten minutes before the actual finish of Sister's talk.
We apologize for this inconvenience.

Holy Spirit Church was excited and blessed that Sister Gaudia Skass, OLM, gave a new talk for us! It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone in our area to invite our hearts to soften and draw closer to Christ for Lent. Sister is a speaker in high demand with a gentle radiance, and a profound wisdom that is evidence of her love of Christ and the Holy Spirit working within her. We were indeed very fortunate to have her visit Stamford.

Sister Gaudia is from Poland and studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw before entering the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy in 2005 and making her perpetual profession of vows in 2014. For six years, Sister Gaudia ministered to English- and Spanish-speaking pilgrims at the Divine Mercy Shrine in Kraków. In 2015, Sister Gaudia completed postgraduate studies in journalism. In addition to her media work on behalf of the Congregation, she enjoys youth ministry and served for two years on a team coordinating events for WYD Kraków 2016.

Sister Gaudia is currently on staff at John Paul II National Shrine in Washington, D.C.
